Reading List

Hello everyone. I am trying to compile a reading list for myself. I would love to start reading more and am really interested in reading about the following:

  • Nutrition
  • Fitness
  • The Environment - specifically related to food chain and greening your home
  • Christianity

Does anyone have any suggestions of books that I should add to my reading list? I am re-reading the Eat-Clean Diet Expanded Edition and jotting down the name of books/resources that Tosca mentions and am adding them to my reading list.

The Omnivore's Dilemma by Michael Pollan is great.

My absolute favorite nutrition author is Marion Nestle. Her books What to Eat and Food Politics are worth checking out.

My mom bought me a book called Gorgeously Green for Christmas. I can't remember the author, but it had lots of tips for greener eating and living.

I enjoyed THE GREAT PHYSICIAN'S RX FOR HEALTH AND WELLNESS (7 keys to unlock you health potential) by Jordan Rubin to be informative. I orginally picked it up at the library. He is not Catholic but it is Christian based on the Bible and God's ideal health plan of natural foods, etc.

I love Tosca's Eat Clean Cookbook too! Tons of great recipes. Everyday Food Magazine (the little sized one) isn't always clean, but it has a lot of basic and simple recipes that are healthy and clean. The ones that are more indulgent can usually be modified easily. The recipes are simple and use whole ingredients (not processed stuff.)
BTW, I love your blog!
