Accomplishment is Around the Corner

The choir sang tonight at the Wednesday Lenten service and one of the readings tonight was Isaiah 55, and this part really resounded with me today.

As the rain and the snow
     come down from heaven,
and do not return to it
     without watering the earth
and making it bud and flourish,
so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater,
so is my word that goes out from my mouth:
It will not return to me empty,
but will accomplish what I desire
and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.
                                         - - Isaiah 55: 10-11
It might have been the constant rain and snow that we have had for the last couple days or the competition... but I was just really feeling this!

Here are my eats for the day:

M1 - 1/2 cup egg whites + chicken sausage + 1/4 cup dry porridge, cooked with blueberries
M2 - quinoa broccoli frittata + salsa
M3 - meatball + marinara + 1/2 pita pocket + a little spinach (THIS WAS AMAZING!!!!!!)
M4 - 1 cup greek yogurt + blackberries
M5 - 1/2 wrap + 1 banana + 2 tbsp peanut butter
M6 - 4 oz grilled chicken with Frank's Hot Sauce + spinach + evvo/balsamic

Thanks, sis, I'll translate these beautiful text (Isaiah) and read it for the girls at Bible study group tonight!
(..and there will be only clean food served, no cookies with the coffee this time - haha!)

I was wondering do you make your own meatballs and marinara?

Pappilotta, isn't that verse beautiful? I hope that you have fun at Bible Study with CLEAN treats! :)

Kari, I did make the meatballs. I used the recipe from Tosca's Eat-Clean Diet Family and Kids Book and substituted ground white meat chicken for turkey. This time, I did not make the marinara, I picked it up at a local italian cucina that makes wonderful fresh sauce that is very clean (EVOO and Veggies). Although, I normally do make my own marinara sauce in my Vita-Mix - the recipe is on my blog here: http://marialouisepeters.blogspot.com/2009/01/clean-and-bright.html
