I finished all of my Peppermint Lemongrass Green Iced Tea last night and plan on making a batch to put into the brand new BPA-free pitcher that I purchased at the Container Store last night. I also picked up some 2- and 4-cup glass storage containers made by Anchor Hocking and a few small glass jars for salad dressing (both in Cooler Contents pic above with white tops).
You're doing great! Keep up the good work!
ReplyDeletevery inspiring to see someone else who brings as many containers as me to work. my co-workers all think i'm the oddball. amen sister!
ReplyDeleteIs your bee pollen the smallest glass jar in your cooler pic? It looks like a liquid? Mine comes as granules and tastes nasty in shakes as it settles at the bottem. What brand of wheat grass do you use? Your meals look fantastic.
ReplyDeleteHave you posted the recipe for the homemade raspberry balsamic dressing? I'd like to have a homemade one that is easy to make and tastes good. I have a few different ones but I would like to make up a batch instead of just a small amount for one meal but usually find they get too thick when they sit and I never know whether to keep it in the fride or on the counter. The ingredients used are not refrigerated so it seems I wouldn't have to put in the fridge. Any tips?
ReplyDeleteMajl, I am the container queen!
ReplyDeleteMy bee pollen was not pictured. I actually just took a big tablespoon of the granules from the jar and ate them a little later in the day. The small jar is my salad dressing.
I am unsure of the brand of wheatgrass juice that I have. It was the only organic brand that they carried in the frozen section of Whole Foods.
I have not posted a recipe yet for the raspberry balsamic dressing, but am planning on doing it this week. It is a super simple dressing and can be made with any vinegar. I keep mine in the fridge. Your dressing may be getting thick because you are using olive oil, which solidifies in the fridge. Try using almond or walnut oil which stays runny in the fridge.
Thanks for the porridge recipe. I was getting tired of oatmeal with all the goodies (flax, wheat germ, bee pollen, and berries), so this will be nice. I just happen to have the 2 Bob's products on hand, and of course the oats, flax, and wheat germ. Just gotta get some cream of wheat.
ReplyDeleteGood for you on the bee pollen. I have to mix the grains in good and pretend they aren't there. It's just icky to me for some reason.
I didn't like the last batch of bee pollen that I had, it was very light in color, and had to choke it down. I ran out and had to purchase more and the new batch of bee pollen, from the same company, is much darker in color, lots of brown and orange granules, and I really like the taste.
ReplyDeleteAlthough, this morning I found part of a little bee wing in my bee pollen this morning - I was a little grossed out. :(
Hey MAria! Tazo makes a peppermint lemongrass teabag too...thanks for sharing your recipe tho!
ReplyDeleteI like The lemongrass tea out of the glass bottle you can buy already made, but mine never tastes as sweet. I must be wrong in my proportions of water/tea, so add a teaspoon of sugar to the pitcher and feel like a bad girl! LOL!
Found your blog thru TR's board...I have learned alot from you. THANKS FOR TAKING THE TIME to share your life with us!
I am using the peppermint lemongrass tea bag (Zen) to make my tea, I just like a little more of the peppermint taste in my tea. I feel like it makes it seem really sweet and don't need any other sweetener. Last night, I ran out of regular green tea and substituted raspberry green tea instead into the mix... it is delicious!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks...I love more peppermint, it's refreshing and does taste sweeter!
ReplyDeleteGoing to try your recipe!
